For the first time ever in the history of Kalaburagi, a football league gets underway on the 6th of February under the Kalaburagi District Football Association guided by SP Iada Martin IPS. The future looks bright for the young aspiring footballers of Kalaburagi and the lovers of football in the city.

A 20 team league over 3 months concluding in a final to decide the ultimate winner includes teams from neighbouring Sedam, Yadgir and Chittapur also.
