Description

Welcome to Padel House leagues!

All players are welcomed to this third league edition which will take place between 18th August and 21st September 2025.

The entry is open for pairs of any age and gender with a cost of $25 per player and will be allocated in groups based on their level and previous performance.

Inscriptions are open until Saturday 12th July 2025. You can register you and your partner here.

By Monday 14th July the fixtures for each group will be published so pairs will be able to start scheduling their games.

After 5 rounds/weeks, group winners will get promoted to a higher group and bottom pairs will get relegated to a lower group. Then, another 5 rounds/weeks will be played to determine the champions of this edition.

Rules

1) General Rules

  • All matches follow the official International Padel Federation (FIP) rules unless otherwise stated.
  • Players must try to play all their games within the allocated dates.
  • All games will be played to the best of 3 sets, with a tiebreak at 6-6 (first to 7 points, win by 2).
  • Standard padel scoring applies: 15, 30, 40, deuce, advantage, game.
  • Winners will be in charge of notifying the final score to the league organizers (email, WhatsApp or message).
  • Points will be awarded as per follows:
    • Won match = 3 points
    • Lost match = 1 point
    • Not played/presented or imcomplete match = 0 points

 

2) Serving Rules

  • The serve must be underhand and bounce behind the service line before being hit.
  • The ball must be struck below waist level and must bounce in the diagonal service box.
  • Two serve attempts are allowed per point.

 

3) Code of Conduct

  • Unsportsmanlike behavior (racquet abuse, verbal abuse, aggressive behavior) may result in penalties and/or disqualification.
  • Disputes will be resolved by the league referee, whose decision is final.

 

4) Walkovers & Withdrawals

  • If a team cancels a scheduled match within 24 hours of the start time, the following will apply:
    • The match will be recorded as a walkover in favor of the opposite team (6-0, 6-0).
    • The team responsible for the late cancellation will be liable to cover the full cost of the court booking unless a suitable replacement match can be organised.
    • If a replacement match is successfully arranged, no financial penalty will apply.
    • This policy help to ensure fairness to all teams and minimises disruption to venue scheduling.
  • If a team member suffers a long-term injury, their partner will able to replace them by another player of similar level while the injury lasts.
  • If a team withdrawals from the competition, all their games will be set to 6-0, 6-0 in favour of all the other teams.
  • Once the groups are made and the competition has started, no refunds or credits will be issued under any circumstances.

 

5) Tie-break Criteria

  • In case of a tie between two or more pairs in the standings, the following will be taken into account (in order):
  1. Direct matches between the teams.
  2. Tean with the highest number of victories.
  3. Team scoring more sets.
  4. Team receiving less sets.
  5. Team winning more games.
  6. Team losing less games.
  7. In case of a tie to all the above, a coin will be tossed to determined the classified team.
