Welcome to the first Padel House tournament!
All player are welcomed to this tournament which will take place on 22nd and 23rd of February 2025.
The entry is opened for pairs of any age and gender with a cost of $50 per player and at least 3 games guaranteed.
Inscriptions are open until Wednesday 19th February 2025 by sending an email to info@padelhousenz.nz with the players information and making the payment.
On Saturday 22nd there will be a group stage. The two top pairs per group will qualify for the play-offs.
Sunday 23rd will hold the play-off matches from quarter-finals up to the grand final.
Winners and runner-ups will be awarded with amazing prizes.
Reglas
1) General Rules
- All matches follow the official International Padel Federation (FIP) rules unless otherwise stated.
- Players must arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled match time. Late arrivals may result in disqualification.
- All matches times and courts are illustrative and might be subject to change. Order of play will prevail.
- Player will have only a 5-minute warm up before each game starts.
- Appropriate sports attire must be worn.
2) Tournament Format
- Matches are played in a round-robin and knockout format.
- Round-robin matches will be the first to 9 games with golden point on deuce, with a tie-break at 8-8 (first to 7 points, win by 2).
- Knockout matches consisting of best of 3 sets, with a tiebreak at 6-6 (first to 7 points, win by 2).
- The third set will be replaced with a super tie-break (first to 10 points, win by 2).
3) Scoring System
- Standard padel scoring applies: 15, 30, 40, deuce, golden point.
- Golden Point Rule (No-Advantage): the receiving team chooses which side receives the serve at deuce.
4) Serving Rules
- The serve must be underhand and bounce behind the service line before being hit.
- The ball must be struck below waist level and must bounce in the diagonal service box.
- Two serve attempts are allowed per point.
5) Code of Conduct
- Unsportsmanlike behavior (racquet abuse, verbal abuse, aggressive behavior) may result in penalties or disqualification.
- Disputes will be resolved by the tournament referee, whose decision is final,but in all occasions the dispute will result in the point being replayed.
6) Walkovers & Withdrawals
- If a team fails to show up within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, it will be a walkover (forfeit). For round-robin games, the opponents will be awarded with 9-0.
- If a team withdraws mid-match due to injury, the opponent advances. For round-robin games, the opponents will be awarded with 9 to the number of games they had before the injury.
7) Tie-break Criteria
- In case of a tie between two or more pairs, the following will be taken into account (in order):

- Direct matches between the teams.
- Team winning more games.
- Team losing less games.
- In case of a tie to all the above, a coin will be tossed to determined the classified team.
